The JFK Club luncheon, Tuesday, July 17 at the Feed Table, 201 W. Main St., will be an extended meeting, running from noon-1:30 p.m. to accommodate two groups of candidates. The first group of speakers will include David Sharpe, County Commission District 6; Brent Morris, Tennessee House District 27; Tammy Magourik, Tennessee House District 29; and Joda Thongnopnua, Tennessee House District 30. The second group of speakers will be Craig Fitzugh and Karl Dean, Democratic candidates for governor. The price of the meal will be $15, including tax and tip. Mobley Found Guilty Of Murder; Gets Life Sentence

A Criminal Court jury on Saturday night found Stephen Mobley guilty on all counts, including two of criminal homicide.  He was sentenced to life in prison. Defendant Mobley’s trial for the 2016 Labor Day slayings concluded Saturday with closing statements from both sides. Here We Go Again With The Same Cummings Highway, 12th Street Flooding

Here we go again with the same pitiful news reports about the Cummings Highway Interstate interchange with I-24 - Flooding yet again after a heavy rain.  TDOT is derelict in not having repaired this years ago.  How hard is it to get some excavators out there to dig up the collapsed drainage pipes which TDOT says are the cause of the flooding and replace them with ...
