Wilson Road Group Community Meeting Is Sept. 25

The next Wilson Road Group meeting will be held Tuesday, Sept. 25, 6:30 p.m. at Ridgeland High School Theater at the corner of Highway 2 and Happy Valley Road. 

The topic for community discussion will be the upcoming public vote for Walker County Commission on Tuesday, Nov. 6.  "Shall the governing authority of Walker County be changed from a sole commissioner to a five-member board of commissioners with the chairperson elected at large and four commissioners elected by district?" Vote Yes or No. 

Attending the discussion will be elected officials pro and con. 

The Wilson Road Neighborhood Group is sponsoring this meeting for the public. Everyone is invited to attend.

Dalton Police Department Promotions Headline Public Safety Commission Meeting

Two longtime members of the Dalton Police Department had their promotions to the rank of lieutenant confirmed by unanimous vote of the Public Safety Commission. Center For Creative Arts Hosts 18th Annual Chattanooga Dances!

Girl, 9, Killed When Vehicle Is Struck From The Rear On Cummings Highway In Lookout Valley

A nine-year-old student at Lookout Valley Elementary School was killed when a vehicle was rear-ended while waiting to turn into the new Taco Bell on Cummings Highway in Lookout Valley late Monday afternoon. Pedestrian Killed By Hit And Run Driver On Lee Highway On Monday Night

A pedestrian was struck and killed by a hit and run driver on Lee Highway on Monday night. At 8:49 p.m., Chattanooga Police Traffic was notified about a possible pedestrian struck at    7356 Lee Highway.
